- Category 1 completing students/recent graduates $125; Categories 2-5 generally $125 for AAMA members or eligible recent graduates and $250 for nonmembers after any required eligibility review

- 200 multiple-choice questions, including 180 scored and 20 pretested
- Duration
- 160 minutes of exam time in four 40-minute segments, with optional breaks totaling 20 minutes and a 180-minute appointment excluding tutorial/post-exam survey
- Passing score
- Scaled minimum passing score 405 on a 200-800 scale
- Retake policy
- Six attempts per year, each requiring a new application and fee
- Validity
- Credential recertifies every 60 months by 60 CEUs or exam; if expired more than three months, recertification by exam is required
